Rickettsia helvetica in Dermacentor reticulatus Ticks
We report on the molecular evidence that Dermacentor reticulatus ticks in Croatia are infected with Rickettsia helvetica (10%) or Rickettsia slovaca (2%) or co-infected with both species (1%). These findings expand the knowledge of the geographic distribution of R. helvetica and D. reticulatus ticks.
متن کاملA Chemical Study on Phyllanthus reticulatus
A phytochemical study was conducted on the leaves of Phyllanthus reticulatus obtained from a riverside in Taman Negara Kuala Koh, Kelantan. The separations of the chemical components were carried out using different chromatographic techniques and structures of compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods including nuclear magnetic resonance as well as mass spectrometry. Three compounds we...

متن کاملExperimental transmission of Anaplasma marginale by male Dermacentor reticulatus
BACKGROUND Bovine anaplasmosis has been reported in several European countries, but the vector competency of tick species for Anaplasma marginale from these localities has not been determined. Because of the wide distributional range of Dermacentor reticulatus within Europe and the major role of Dermacentor spp. as a vector of A. marginale in the United States, we tested the vector competency o...
متن کاملPopulation Dynamics of the Black Tinder Fungus Beetle Bolitophagus reticulatus
The aim of the study was to describe seasonal changes in numbers and settlement of basidiocarps of tinder fungus [Fomes fomentarius (L. ex Fr.) Kick] by the coleopteran Bolitophagus reticulatus L. in relation to the weight and the stage of decomposition of a basidiocarp in different types of forest habitats. Tinder fungi, which contained the coleopterans, were collected from four sample plots l...
